The first hour of this seminar covers the University’s 7 step emergency card.  This prepares you to respond from an “all hazards” prospective including fires, medicals, and chemical spills.  The second hour of the presentation provides an awareness level response to active shooter incidents.

  • Seven steps to surviving almost any emergency
  • Four methods of protective actions during various emergencies
  • The definition of the term “active shooter”
  • Various pre-indicators of violence
  • Methods of creating a survival mindset
  • Measures that can be employed to reduce the effectiveness of an active shooter
  • Actions expected from responding law enforcement officers
