Are you interested in learning more about research at Van Andel Institute? Have you considered being involved in clinical research?
Next Tuesday (March 21), Pre-MD/PhD Club will be hosting Dr. Julie Turner and Dr. Nick Duesbery to talk to us about Van Andel Institute and clinical research. This is an incredible networking opportunity. All are welcome to attend. The event will be in Padnos 106 at 9pm on March 21.
Dr. Julie Turner is Associate Dean of the Van Andel Institute graduate school. She is involved will cell biology at VAI, but has done research in immunology and virology. Dr. Turner is one of the most passionate speakers that I have seen, and she has many valuable things to say to undergraduate students aspiring to go into science.
Dr. Nick Duesbery was an associate professor at Van Andel Institute for 16 years studying vascular systems. Prior to that, he completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the National Cancer Institute. Recently, he has become the Clinical Research Coordinator at Spectrum Health.
Hope to see you there!
