The GSA strives to promote interdisciplinary communication and collaboration in order to enhance a holistic graduate student experience. By fostering the development of the graduate student community at Grand Valley State University, graduate students will develop academically, intellectually, professionally, and socially.

Nominations for E-Board Positions 2015-2016 Academic Year

Nominations for E–Board Positions in regards to the 2015–2016 Academic Year will be open from till April 1st.  Nominate yourself or another graduate student by clicking here and signing in with your GVSU user name.  A essay of around 250 words is required for each nomination.  The essay should cover the nominee's interests, the nominee's reasons for running for office and the nominee's potential contributions to the E–Board. 




Teach In Day

Teach-In Day will be held at both the Allendale and Pew Campuses on April 2nd from 8:30 AM till 8:45 PM.  The purpose of Teach-In is to address topics related to inequality and social justice.  Teach–In will facilitate dialogue between students and faculty from a variety of disciplines.  View the schedule of the 26 presentations held during Teach-In by clicking here.

Calling ALL Grad Students

GSA plans and coordinates activities throughout the year aimed at building graduate student culture at Grand Valley, and helping students build professional networks across all disciplines (e.g. GradClub, held the first, third, and fourth Tuesday each month, from 5-6 pm, in the University Club, Pew Campus, and GradHub, held the second Tuesday of each month, at 9 pm at Z's Bar & Restaurant in downtown Grand Rapids. GSA also emphasizes career development through its integrated PACES programming, which is co-sponsored by the Office of Graduate Studies.
