Internships and Practicums at the Women's Center

Get connected with the Women's Center through a semester or year-long internship. There are a variety of opportunities available and we regularly work with students from a variety of majors and academic disciplines. Internships can be done for academic credit or for no credit. All internships are unpaid.

Here are some of the ways that you can develop new skills and pair your existing talents with the Women's Center:

Program Intern

Plan and assist with Women's Center programs. Research program-focused information and develop informational resources. Work closely with Women's Center staff to decide on which programs you would like to work. Projects could include (but are not limited to):

  • Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness
  • Eating Disorders and Body Image Awareness
  • Women's History
  • Title IX and Women's Sports
  • Call for Art and Intersections Journal

Service & Advocacy Intern

The Service & Advocacy intern will plan and implement programming related to the Women's Center service and advocacy efforts. This position will focus on assisting the Assistant Director with Activate.

Public Relations & Social Media Intern

The Public Relations and Social Media intern will plan and implement communication initiatives related to the Women's Center programming and resources. This position will focus on maintaining all social media outlets and keeping the website updated with current information.
